Audio capture, ASR inference, command handling, and insertion are handled locally with no mandatory cloud relay.

Updates

Update checks pull release metadata from the IceWhisper downloads host. You can disable automatic checks.

Optional AI APIs

If you enable external formatting providers, only the selected text payload is sent directly to that provider.

Operational Logs

Logs are generated locally for troubleshooting and can be manually shared when you request support.

If you use external model APIs, refer to that provider's retention policy. IceWhisper does not proxy those requests through its own servers.
